2. ദൈവം തീക്ഷണതയുള്ളവനും യഹോവ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു; യഹോവ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യുന്നവനും ക്രോധപൂർണ്ണനുമാകുന്നു; യഹോവ തന്റെ വൈരികളോടു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്കയും തന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കായി കോപം സംഗ്രഹിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

2. Dhaivam Theekshanathayullavanum Yahova Prathikaaram Cheyyunnavanum Aakunnu; Yahova Prathikaaram Cheyyunnavanum Krodhapoornnanumaakunnu; Yahova Thante Vairikalodu Prathikaaram Cheykayum Thante Shathrukkalkkaayi Kopam Samgrahikkayum Cheyyunnu.

2. The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and maintains his wrath against his enemies.

3. യഹോവ ദീർഘക്ഷമയും മഹാശക്തിയുമുള്ളവൻ ; അവൻ ഒരിക്കലും ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടുകയില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ വഴി ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിലും കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിലും ഉണ്ടു; മേഘം അവന്റെ കാൽക്കീഴിലെ പൊടിയാകുന്നു.

3. Yahova Dheerghakshamayum Mahaashakthiyumullavan ; Avan Orikkalum Shikshikkaathe Vidukayilla; Yahovayude Vazhi Chuzhalikkaattilum Kodunkaattilum Undu; Megham Avante Kaalkkeezhile Podiyaakunnu.

3. The LORD is slow to anger and great in power; the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet.

4. അവൻ സമുദ്രത്തെ ഭർത്സിച്ചു വറ്റിക്കയും സകലനദികളെയും വരട്ടിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ബാശാനും കർമ്മേലും വരളുന്നു; ലെബാനോന്റെ പുഷ്പം വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു.

4. Avan Samudhraththe Bharthsichu Vattikkayum Sakalanadhikaleyum Varattikkalakayum Cheyyunnu; Baashaanum Karmmelum Varalunnu; Lebaanonte Pushpam Vaadippokunnu.

4. He rebukes the sea and dries it up; he makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither and the blossoms of Lebanon fade.

5. അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ പർവ്വതങ്ങൾ കുലുങ്ങുന്നു; കുന്നുകൾ ഉരുകിപ്പോകുന്നു; അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഭൂമി ഞെട്ടിപ്പോകുന്നു; മഹീതലവും അതിലെ സകലനിവാസികളും തന്നേ.

5. Avante Mumpil Parvvathangal Kulungunnu; Kunnukal Urukippokunnu; Avante Sannidhiyil Bhoomi Njettippokunnu; Maheethalavum Athile Sakalanivaasikalum Thanne.

5. The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it.

6. അവന്റെ ക്രോധത്തിൻ മുമ്പിൽ ആർ നിലക്കും? അവന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപത്തിങ്കൽ ആർ നിവിർന്നുനിലക്കും? അവന്റെ ക്രോധം തീപോലെ ചൊരിയുന്നു; പാറകൾ അവനാൽ പിളർന്നുപോകുന്നു.

6. Avante Krodhaththin Mumpil Aar Nilakkum? Avante Ugrakopaththinkal Aar Nivirnnunilakkum? Avante Krodham Theepole Choriyunnu; Paarakal Avanaal Pilarnnupokunnu.

6. Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him.

7. യഹോവ നല്ലവനും കഷ്ടദിവസത്തിൽ ശരണവും ആകുന്നു; തങ്കൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവരെ അവൻ അറിയുന്നു.

7. Yahova Nallavanum Kashdadhivasaththil Sharanavum Aakunnu; Thankal Aashrayikkunnavare Avan Ariyunnu.

7. The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,

8. എന്നാൽ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകുന്നോരു പ്രവാഹം കൊണ്ടു അവൻ അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു മുടിവു വരുത്തും; തന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ അവൻ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽ പിന്തുടരുന്നു.

8. Ennaal Kavinjozhukunnoru Pravaaham Kondu Avan Athinte Sthalaththinnu Mudivu Varuththum; Thante Shathrukkale Avan Andhakaaraththil Pinthudarunnu.

8. but with an overwhelming flood he will make an end of Nineveh; he will pursue his foes into darkness.

9. നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവേക്കു വിരോധമായി നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? അവൻ മുടിവു വരുത്തും; കഷ്ടത രണ്ടുപ്രാവശ്യം പൊങ്ങിവരികയില്ല.

9. Ningal Yahovekku Virodhamaayi Niroopikkunnathenthu? Avan Mudivu Varuththum; Kashdatha Randupraavashyam Pongivarikayilla.

9. Whatever they plot against the LORD he will bring to an end; trouble will not come a second time.

10. അവർ കൂടിപ്പിണഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന മുള്ളുപോലെ ആയാലും തങ്ങളുടെ മദ്യപാനത്തിൽ മദ്യപിച്ചിരുന്നാലും അവർ മുഴുവനും ഉണങ്ങിയ താളടിപോലെ തീക്കു ഇരയായിത്തീരും.

10. Avar Koodippinanjirikkunna Mullupole Aayaalum Thangalude Madhyapaanaththil Madhyapichirunnaalum Avar Muzhuvanum Unangiya Thaaladipole Theekku Irayaayiththeerum.

10. They will be entangled among thorns and drunk from their wine; they will be consumed like dry stubble.

11. യഹോവേക്കു വിരോധമായി ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കയും നിസ്സാരത്വം ആലോചിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ നിന്നിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

11. Yahovekku Virodhamaayi Dhosham Niroopikkayum Nissaarathvam Aalochikkayum Cheyyunnavan Ninnilninnu Purappettirikkunnu.

11. From you, O Nineveh, has one come forth who plots evil against the LORD and counsels wickedness.

12. യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അവർ പൂർണ്ണ ശക്തന്മാരും അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അനേകരും ആയിരുന്നാലും അവർ അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടുകയും അവൻ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകയും ചെയ്യും. ഞാൻ നിന്നെ താഴ്ത്തി എങ്കിലും ഇനി നിന്നെ താഴ്ത്തുകയില്ല.

12. Yahova Iprakaaram Arulicheyyunnu: Avar Poornna Shakthanmaarum Avvannam Thanne Anekarum Aayirunnaalum Avar Angane Thanne Chedhikkappedukayum Avan Kazhinjupokayum Cheyyum. Njaan Ninne Thaazhththi Enkilum Ini Ninne Thaazhththukayilla.

12. This is what the LORD says: "Although they have allies and are numerous, they will be cut off and pass away. Although I have afflicted you, O Judah, I will afflict you no more.

13. ഇപ്പോഴോ ഞാൻ അവന്റെ നുകം നിന്റെമേൽനിന്നു ഒടിച്ചുകളയും നിന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങൾ അറുത്തുകളകയും ചെയ്യും.

13. Ippozho Njaan Avante Nukam Nintemelninnu Odichukalayum Ninte Bandhanangal Aruththukalakayum Cheyyum.

13. Now I will break their yoke from your neck and tear your shackles away."

14. എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു: നിന്റെ പേരുള്ള സന്തതി ഇനി ഒട്ടു ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; കൊത്തിയുണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹത്തെയും വാർത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ ബിംബത്തെയും നിന്റെ ദേവന്മാരുടെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഞാൻ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും; നീ നിസ്സാരനായിരിക്കയാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശവകൂഴി കുഴിക്കും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. Ennaal Yahova Ninnekkurichu: Ninte Perulla Santhathi Ini Ottu Undaakayilla; Koththiyundaakkiya Vigrahaththeyum Vaarththundaakkiya Bimbaththeyum Ninte Dhevanmaarude Kshethraththil Ninnu Njaan Chedhichukalayum; Nee Nissaaranaayirikkayaal Njaan Ninte Shavakoozhi Kuzhikkum Ennu Kalpichirikkunnu.

14. The LORD has given a command concerning you, Nineveh: "You will have no descendants to bear your name. I will destroy the carved images and cast idols that are in the temple of your gods. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile."

15. ഇതാ, പർവ്വതങ്ങളിന്മേൽ സുവാർത്താദൂതനായി സമാധാനം ഘോഷിക്കുന്നവന്റെ കാൽ; യെഹൂദയേ, നിന്റെ ഉത്സവങ്ങളെ ആചരിക്ക; നിന്റെ നേർച്ചകളെ കഴിക്ക; നിസ്സാരൻ ഇനി നിന്നിൽകൂടി കടക്കയില്ല; അവൻ അശേഷം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. Ithaa, Parvvathangalinmel Suvaarththaadhoothanaayi Samaadhaanam Ghoshikkunnavante Kaal; Yehoodhaye, Ninte Uthsavangale Aacharikka; Ninte Nerchakale Kazhikka; Nissaaran Ini Ninnilkoodi Kadakkayilla; Avan Ashesham Chedhikkappettirikkunnu.

15. Look, there on the mountains, the feet of one who brings good news, who proclaims peace! Celebrate your festivals, O Judah, and fulfill your vows. No more will the wicked invade you; they will be completely destroyed.
