യഹോവ സൗരഭ്യവാസന മണത്തപ്പോൾ യഹോവ തൻറെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: ഞാൻമനുഷ്യൻറെ നിമിത്തം ഇനി ഭൂമിയെ ശപിക്കയില്ല. മനുഷ്യൻറെ മനോനിരൂപണം ബാല്യംമുതൽ ദോഷമുള്ളതു ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻചെയ്തതു പോലെ സകല ജീവികളെയും ഇനി നശിപ്പിക്കയില്ല.

The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done.
