1. Shinaar Raajaavaaya Amraaphel, Elaasaarraajaavaaya Aryyoku, Elaam Raajaavaaya Kedhorlaayomer, Jaathikalude Raajaavaaya Theedhaal Ennivarude Kaalaththu

1. At this time Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Kedorlaomer king of Elam and Tidal king of Goiim

2. ഇവർ സൊദോം രാജാവായ ബേരാ, ഗൊമോരാരാജാവായ ബിർശാ, ആദ്മാരാജാവായ ശിനാബ്, സെബോയീം രാജാവായ ശെമേബെർ, സോവർ എന്ന ബേലയിലെ രാജാവു എന്നിവരോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്തു.

2. Ivar Sodhom Raajaavaaya Beraa, Gomoraaraajaavaaya Birshaa, Aadhmaaraajaavaaya Shinaabu, Seboyeem Raajaavaaya Shemeber, Sovar Enna Belayile Raajaavu Ennivarodu Yuddham Cheythu.

2. went to war against Bera king of Sodom, Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar).

3. All these latter kings joined forces in the Valley of Siddim (the Salt Sea ).

5. In the fourteenth year, Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him went out and defeated the Rephaites in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzites in Ham, the Emites in Shaveh Kiriathaim

7. Then they turned back and went to En Mishpat (that is, Kadesh), and they conquered the whole territory of the Amalekites, as well as the Amorites who were living in Hazazon Tamar.

8. അപ്പോൾ സൊദോംരാജാവും ഗൊമോരാരാജാവും ആദ്മാരാജാവും സെബോയീംരാജാവും സോവർ എന്ന ബേലയിലെ രാജാവും പുറപ്പെട്ടു സിദ്ധീംതാഴ്വരയിൽ വെച്ചു

8. Appol Sodhomraajaavum Gomoraaraajaavum Aadhmaaraajaavum Seboyeemraajaavum Sovar Enna Belayile Raajaavum Purappettu Siddheemthaazhvarayil Vechu

8. Then the king of Sodom, the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar) marched out and drew up their battle lines in the Valley of Siddim

10. Siddheemthaazhvarayil Keelkuzhikal Valareyundaayirunnu; Sodhomraajaavum Gomoraa Raajaavum Odippoyi Avide Veenu; Sheshichavar Parvvathaththilekku Odippoyi.

10. Now the Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits, and when the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, some of the men fell into them and the rest fled to the hills.

11. സൊദോമിലും ഗൊമോരയിലും ഉള്ള സമ്പത്തും ഭക്ഷണ സാധനങ്ങളും എല്ലാം അവർഎടുത്തുകൊണ്ടുപോയി.

11. Sodhomilum Gomorayilum Ulla Sampaththum Bhakshana Saadhanangalum Ellaam Avareduththukondupoyi.

11. The four kings seized all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food; then they went away.

12. അബ്രാമിൻറെ സഹോദരൻറെ മകനായി സൊദോമിൽ പാർത്തിരുന്ന ലോത്തിനെയും അവന്റെ സമ്പത്തിനെയും അവർ കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

12. Abraaminre Sahodharanre Makanaayi Sodhomil Paarththirunna Loththineyum Avante Sampaththineyum Avar Kondupoyi.

12. They also carried off Abram's nephew Lot and his possessions, since he was living in Sodom.

13. ഓടിപ്പോന്ന ഒരുത്തൻവന്നു എബ്രായനായ അബ്രാമിനെ അറിയിച്ചു. അവൻഎശ്ക്കോലിൻറെയും ആനേരിൻറെയും സഹോദരനായി അമോർയ്യനായ മമ്രേയുടെ തോപ്പിൽ പാർത്തിരുന്നു; അവർ അബ്രാമിനോടു സഖ്യത ചെയ്തവർ ആയിരുന്നു.

13. Odipponna Oruththanvannu Ebraayanaaya Abraamine Ariyichu. Avaneshkkolinreyum Aanerinreyum Sahodharanaayi Amoryyanaaya Mamreyude Thoppil Paarththirunnu; Avar Abraaminodu Sakhyatha Cheythavar Aayirunnu.

13. One who had escaped came and reported this to Abram the Hebrew. Now Abram was living near the great trees of Mamre the Amorite, a brother of Eshcol and Aner, all of whom were allied with Abram.

14. തൻറെ സഹോദരനെ ബദ്ധനാക്കികൊണ്ടു പോയി എന്നു അബ്രാം കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവൻതൻറെ വീട്ടിൽ ജനിച്ചവരും അഭ്യാസികളുമായ മുന്നൂറ്റിപതിനെട്ടു പേരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ദാൻവരെ പിൻതുടർന്നു.

14. Thanre Sahodharane Baddhanaakkikondu Poyi Ennu Abraam Kettappol Avanthanre Veettil Janichavarum Abhyaasikalumaaya Munnoottipathinettu Pere Koottikkondu Dhaanvare Pinthudarnnu.

14. When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan.

15. രാത്രിയിൽ അവനും അവൻറെ ദാസന്മാരും അവരുടെ നേരെ ഭാഗംഭാഗമായി പിരിഞ്ഞു ചെന്നു അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു ദമ്മേശെക്കിൻറെ ഇടത്തുഭാഗത്തുള്ള ഹോബാവരെ അവരെ പിൻതുടർന്നു.

15. Raathriyil Avanum Avanre Dhaasanmaarum Avarude Nere Bhaagambhaagamaayi Pirinju Chennu Avare Tholpichu Dhammeshekkinre Idaththubhaagaththulla Hobaavare Avare Pinthudarnnu.

15. During the night Abram divided his men to attack them and he routed them, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus.

16. അവൻസമ്പത്തൊക്കെയും മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു വന്നു; തൻറെ സഹോദരനായ ലോത്തിനെയും അവൻറെ സമ്പത്തിനെയും സ്ത്രീകളെയും ജനത്തെയും കൂടെ മടക്കിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

16. Avansampaththokkeyum Madakkikkondu Vannu; Thanre Sahodharanaaya Loththineyum Avanre Sampaththineyum Sthreekaleyum Janaththeyum Koode Madakkikkonduvannu.

16. He recovered all the goods and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the other people.

17. അവൻകെദൊർലായോമെരിനെയും കൂടെയുള്ള രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും തോല്പിച്ചിട്ടു മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോൾ സൊദോംരാജാവു രാജതാഴ്വര എന്ന ശാവേതാഴ്വരവരെ അവനെ എതിരേറ്റുചെന്നു.

17. Avankedhorlaayomerineyum Koodeyulla Raajaakkanmaareyum Tholpichittu Madangivannappol Sodhomraajaavu Raajathaazhvara Enna Shaavethaazhvaravare Avane Ethirettuchennu.

17. After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King's Valley).

18. ശാലേംരാജാവായ മൽക്കീസേദെൿ അപ്പവും വീഞ്ഞുംകൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അവൻഅത്യുന്നതനായ ദൈവത്തിൻറെ പുരോഹിതനായിരുന്നു.

18. Shaalemraajaavaaya Malkkeesedhek Appavum Veenjumkonduvannu; Avanathyunnathanaaya Dhaivaththinre Purohithanaayirunnu.

18. Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High,

19. അവൻ അവനെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു: സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിന്നും ഭൂമിക്കും നാഥനായി അത്യുന്നതനായ ദൈവത്താൽ അബ്രാം അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ;

19. Avan Avane Anugrahichu: Svarggaththinnum Bhoomikkum Naathanaayi Athyunnathanaaya Dhaivaththaal Abraam Anugrahikkappedumaaraakatte;

19. and he blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.

20. നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ കൈയിൽ ഏല്പിച്ച അത്യുന്നതനായ ദൈവംസ്തുതിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവന്നു അബ്രാം സകലത്തിലും ദശാംശം കൊടുത്തു.

20. Ninte Shathrukkale Ninte Kaiyil Elpicha Athyunnathanaaya Dhaivamsthuthikkappedumaaraakatte Ennu Paranju. Avannu Abraam Sakalaththilum Dhashaamsham Koduththu.

20. And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand." Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

21. സൊദോംരാജാവു അബ്രാമിനോടു: ആളുകളെ എനിക്കു തരിക; സമ്പത്തു നീ എടുത്തുകൊൾക എന്നുപറഞ്ഞു.

21. Sodhomraajaavu Abraaminodu: Aalukale Enikku Tharika; Sampaththu Nee Eduththukolka Ennuparanju.

21. The king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself."

22. അതിന്നു അബ്രാം സൊദോംരാജാവിനോടുപറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻഅബ്രാമിനെ സമ്പന്നനാക്കിയെന്നു നീ പറയാതിരിപ്പാൻഞാൻഒരു ചരടാകട്ടെ ചെരിപ്പുവാറാകട്ടെ നിനക്കുള്ളതിൽ യാതൊന്നുമാകട്ടെ എടുക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ

22. Athinnu Abraam Sodhomraajaavinoduparanjathu: Njaanabraamine Sampannanaakkiyennu Nee Parayaathirippaannjaanoru Charadaakatte Cherippuvaaraakatte Ninakkullathil Yaathonnumaakatte Edukkayilla Ennu Njaan

22. But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, and have taken an oath

23. സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിന്നും ഭൂമിക്കും നാഥനായി അത്യുന്നതദൈവമായ യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു കൈ ഉയർത്തിസത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

23. Svarggaththinnum Bhoomikkum Naathanaayi Athyunnathadhaivamaaya Yahovayinkalekku Kai Uyarththisathyam Cheyyunnu.

23. that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the thong of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, 'I made Abram rich.'

24. ബാല്യക്കാർ ഭക്ഷിച്ചതും എന്നോടുകൂടെ വന്ന ആനേർ, എശ്ക്കോൽ, മമ്രേ എന്നീ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ഔഹരിയും മാത്രമേ വേണ്ടു; ഇവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഓഹരി എടുത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.

24. Baalyakkaar Bhakshichathum Ennodukoode Vanna Aaner, Eshkkol, Mamre Ennee Purushanmaarude Auhariyum Maathrame Vendu; Ivar Thangalude Ohari Eduththukollatte.

24. I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me-to Aner, Eshcol and Mamre. Let them have their share."
