1. അനന്തരം യഹോവ നോഹയോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നീയും സർവ്വകുടുംബവുമായി പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടക്ക; ഞാൻനിന്നെ ഈ തലമുറയിൽ എൻറെ മുമ്പാകെ നീതിമാനായി കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

1. Anantharam Yahova Nohayodu Kalpichathenthennaal: Neeyum Sarvvakudumbavumaayi Pettakaththil Kadakka; Njaanninne Ee Thalamurayil Enre Mumpaake Neethimaanaayi Kandirikkunnu.

1. The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

2. ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള സകലമൃഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി ഏഴേഴും, ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മൃഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി ഈരണ്ടും,

2. Shuddhiyulla Sakalamrugangalilninnum Aanum Pennumaayi Ezhezhum, Shuddhiyillaaththa Mrugangalilninnu Aanum Pennumaayi Eerandum,

2. Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate,

3. ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളിൽനിന്നു പൂവനും പിടയുമായി ഏഴേഴും, ഭൂമിയിലൊക്കെയും സന്തതി ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ചേർത്തുകൊള്ളേണം.

3. Aakaashaththile Paravakalilninnu Poovanum Pidayumaayi Ezhezhum, Bhoomiyilokkeyum Santhathi Sheshichirikkendathinnu Nee Cherththukollenam.

3. and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth.

4. ഇനി ഏഴുദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാൻഭൂമിയിൽ നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും മഴ പെയ്യിക്കും; ഞാൻഉണ്ടാക്കീട്ടുള്ള സകല ജീവജാലങ്ങളെയും ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കും.

4. Ini Ezhudhivasam Kazhinjittu Njaanbhoomiyil Naalpathu Raavum Naalpathu Pakalum Mazha Peyyikkum; Njaanundaakkeettulla Sakala Jeevajaalangaleyum Bhoomiyilninnu Nashippikkum.

4. Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made."

5. യഹോവ തന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചപ്രകാരമൊക്കെയും നോഹ ചെയ്തു.

5. Yahova Thannodu Kalpichaprakaaramokkeyum Noha Cheythu.

5. And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him.

6. ഭൂമിയിൽ ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടായപ്പോൾ നോഹെക്കു അറുനൂറു വയസ്സായിരുന്നു.

6. Bhoomiyil Jalapralayam Undaayappol Nohekku Arunooru Vayassaayirunnu.

6. Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth.

7. നോഹയും പുത്രന്മാരും അവൻറെ ഭാര്യയും പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരും ജലപ്രളയം നിമിത്തം പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടന്നു.

7. Nohayum Puthranmaarum Avanre Bhaaryayum Puthranmaarude Bhaaryamaarum Jalapralayam Nimiththam Pettakaththil Kadannu.

7. And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

8. ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള മൃഗങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത മൃഗങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും പറവകളിൽനിന്നും ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയിൽനിന്നൊക്കെയും,

8. Shuddhiyulla Mrugangalil Ninnum Shuddhiyillaaththa Mrugangalilninnum Paravakalilninnum Bhoomiyilulla Izhajaathiyilninnokkeyum,

8. Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground,

9. ദൈവം നോഹയോടു കല്പിച്ചപ്രകാരം ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടു ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി നോഹയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടന്നു.

9. Dhaivam Nohayodu Kalpichaprakaaram Eerandeerandu Aanum Pennumaayi Nohayude Adukkal Vannu Pettakaththil Kadannu.

9. male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.

10. ഏഴു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം ഭൂമിയിൽ ജലപ്രളയം തുടങ്ങി.

10. Ezhu Dhivasam Kazhinjashesham Bhoomiyil Jalapralayam Thudangi.

10. And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.

11. നോഹയുടെ ആയുസ്സിൻറെ അറുനൂറാം സംവത്സരത്തിൽ രണ്ടാം മാസം പതിനേഴാം തിയ്യതി, അന്നുതന്നേ ആഴിയുടെ ഉറവുകൾ ഒക്കെയും പിളർന്നു; ആകാശത്തിൻറെ കിളിവാതിലുകളും തുറന്നു.

11. Nohayude Aayussinre Arunooraam Samvathsaraththil Randaam Maasam Pathinezhaam Thiyyathi, Annuthanne Aazhiyude Uravukal Okkeyum Pilarnnu; Aakaashaththinre Kilivaathilukalum Thurannu.

11. In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month-on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

12. നാല്പതു രാവും നാല്പതു പകലും ഭൂമിയിൽ മഴ പെയ്തു.

12. Naalpathu Raavum Naalpathu Pakalum Bhoomiyil Mazha Peythu.

12. And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

13. അന്നുതന്നേ നോഹയും നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാരായ ശേമും ഹാമും യാഫേത്തും നോഹയുടെ ഭാര്യയും അവൻറെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മൂന്നു ഭാര്യമാരും പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടന്നു.

13. Annuthanne Nohayum Nohayude Puthranmaaraaya Shemum Haamum Yaapheththum Nohayude Bhaaryayum Avanre Puthranmaarude Moonnu Bhaaryamaarum Pettakaththil Kadannu.

13. On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.

14. അവരും അതതു തരം കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളും അതതു തരം കന്നുകാലികളും നിലത്തിഴയുന്ന അതതുതരം ഇഴജാതിയും അതതു തരം പറവകളും അതതു തരം പക്ഷികളും തന്നേ.

14. Avarum Athathu Tharam Kaattumrugangalum Athathu Tharam Kannukaalikalum Nilaththizhayunna Athathutharam Izhajaathiyum Athathu Tharam Paravakalum Athathu Tharam Pakshikalum Thanne.

14. They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings.

15. ജീവശ്വാസമുള്ള സർവ്വജഡത്തിൽനിന്നും ഈരണ്ടീരണ്ടു നോഹയുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു പെട്ടകത്തിൽ കടന്നു.

15. Jeevashvaasamulla Sarvvajadaththilninnum Eerandeerandu Nohayude Adukkal Vannu Pettakaththil Kadannu.

15. Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.

16. ദൈവം അവനോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അകത്തുകടന്നവ സർവ്വജഡത്തിൽനിന്നും ആണും പെണ്ണുമായി കടന്നു; യഹോവ വാതിൽ അടെച്ചു.

16. Dhaivam Avanodu Kalpichathupole Akaththukadannava Sarvvajadaththilninnum Aanum Pennumaayi Kadannu; Yahova Vaathil Adechu.

16. The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.

17. ഭൂമിയിൽ നാല്പതു ദിവസം ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടായി, വെള്ളം വർദ്ധിച്ചു പെട്ടകം പൊങ്ങി, നിലത്തുനിന്നു ഉയർന്നു.

17. Bhoomiyil Naalpathu Dhivasam Jalapralayam Undaayi, Vellam Varddhichu Pettakam Pongi, Nilaththuninnu Uyarnnu.

17. For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.

18. വെള്ളം പൊങ്ങി ഭൂമിയിൽ ഏറ്റേവും പെരുകി; പെട്ടകം വെള്ളത്തിൽ ഒഴുകിത്തുടങ്ങി.

18. Vellam Pongi Bhoomiyil Ettevum Peruki; Pettakam Vellaththil Ozhukiththudangi.

18. The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.

19. വെള്ളം ഭൂമിയിൽഅത്യധികം പൊങ്ങി, ആകാശത്തിൻകീഴെങ്ങമുള്ള ഉയർന്ന പർവ്വതങ്ങളൊക്കെയും മൂടിപ്പോയി.

19. Vellam Bhoomiyilathyadhikam Pongi, Aakaashaththinkeezhengamulla Uyarnna Parvvathangalokkeyum Moodippoyi.

19. They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered.

20. പർവ്വതങ്ങൾ മൂടുവാൻതക്കവണ്ണം വെള്ളം പതിനഞ്ചു മുഴം അവെക്കു മീതെ പൊങ്ങി.

20. Parvvathangal Mooduvaanthakkavannam Vellam Pathinanchu Muzham Avekku Meethe Pongi.

20. The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than twenty feet.,

21. പറവകളും കന്നുകാലികളും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളും നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന എല്ലാ ഇഴജാതിയുമായി ഭൂചരജഡമൊക്കെയും സകലമനുഷ്യരും ചത്തുപോയി.

21. Paravakalum Kannukaalikalum Kaattumrugangalum Nilaththu Izhayunna Ellaa Izhajaathiyumaayi Bhoocharajadamokkeyum Sakalamanushyarum Chaththupoyi.

21. Every living thing that moved on the earth perished-birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind.

22. കരയിലുള്ള സകലത്തിലും മൂക്കിൽ ജീവശ്വാസമുള്ളതൊക്കെയും ചത്തു.

22. Karayilulla Sakalaththilum Mookkil Jeevashvaasamullathokkeyum Chaththu.

22. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died.

23. ഭൂമിയിൽ മനുഷ്യനും മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇഴജാതിയും ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളുമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സകലജീവജാലങ്ങളും നശിച്ചുപോയി; അവ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു നശിച്ചുപോയി; നോഹയും അവനോടുകൂടെ പെട്ടകത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നവരും മാത്രം ശേഷിച്ചു.

23. Bhoomiyil Manushyanum Mrugangalum Izhajaathiyum Aakaashaththile Paravakalumaayi Bhoomiyil Undaayirunna Sakalajeevajaalangalum Nashichupoyi; Ava Bhoomiyilninnu Nashichupoyi; Nohayum Avanodukoode Pettakaththil Undaayirunnavarum Maathram Sheshichu.

23. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

24. വെള്ളം ഭൂമിയിൽ നൂറ്റമ്പതു ദിവസം പൊങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

24. Vellam Bhoomiyil Noottampathu Dhivasam Pongikkondirunnu.

24. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
