1. ദൈവം നോഹയെയും അവൻറെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതെന്തന്നാൽ: നിങ്ങൾ സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവരായി പെരുകി ഭൂമിയിൽ നിറവിൻ.

1. Dhaivam Nohayeyum Avanre Puthranmaareyum Anugrahichu Avarodu Arulicheythathenthannaal: Ningal Santhaanapushdiyullavaraayi Peruki Bhoomiyil Niravin.

1. Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.

2. നിങ്ങളെയുള്ള പേടിയും നടുക്കവും ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും ആകാശത്തിലെ എല്ലാ പറവകൾക്കും സകല ഭൂചരങ്ങൾക്കും സുമദ്രത്തിലെ സകലമത്സ്യങ്ങൾക്കും ഉണ്ടാകും; അവയെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. Ningaleyulla Pediyum Nadukkavum Bhoomiyile Sakalamrugangalkkum Aakaashaththile Ellaa Paravakalkkum Sakala Bhoocharangalkkum Sumadhraththile Sakalamathsyangalkkum Undaakum; Avaye Ningalude Kayyil Elpichirikkunnu.

2. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.

3. ഭൂചരജന്തുക്കളൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങൾക്കു ആഹാരം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ; പച്ച സസ്യംപോലെ ഞാൻസകലവും നിങ്ങൾകൂ തന്നിരികൂന്നു.

3. Bhoocharajanthukkalokkeyum Ningalkku Aahaaram Aayirikkatte; Pacha Sasyampole Njaansakalavum Ningalkoo Thannirikoonnu.

3. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

4. പ്രാണനായിരിക്കുന്ന രക്തത്തോടുകൂടെ മാത്രം നിങ്ങൾ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു.

4. Praananaayirikkunna Rakthaththodukoode Maathram Ningal Maamsam Thinnaruthu.

4. "But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.

5. നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാണാനായിരിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ രക്തത്തിന്നു ഞാൻപകരം ചോദിക്കും; സകലമൃഗത്തോടും മനുഷ്യനോടും ചോദിക്കും; അവനവൻറെ സഹോദരനോടും ഞാൻമനുഷ്യൻറെ പ്രാണന്നു പകരം ചോദിക്കും.

5. Ningalude Praanaanaayirikkunna Ningalude Rakthaththinnu Njaanpakaram Chodhikkum; Sakalamrugaththodum Manushyanodum Chodhikkum; Avanavanre Sahodharanodum Njaanmanushyanre Praanannu Pakaram Chodhikkum.

5. And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each man, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man.

6. ആരെങ്കിലും മനുഷ്യൻറെ രക്തം ചൊരിയിച്ചാൽ അവൻറെ രക്തം മനുഷ്യൻചൊരിയിക്കും; ദൈവത്തിൻറെ സ്വരൂപത്തിലല്ലോ മനുഷ്യനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതു.

6. Aarenkilum Manushyanre Raktham Choriyichaal Avanre Raktham Manushyanchoriyikkum; Dhaivaththinre Svaroopaththilallo Manushyane Undaakkiyathu.

6. "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man.

7. ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ സന്താനപുഷ്ടിയുള്ളവരായി പെരുകുവിൻ; ഭൂമിയിൽ അനവധിയായി പെറ്റു പെരുകുവിൻ.

7. Aakayaal Ningal Santhaanapushdiyullavaraayi Perukuvin; Bhoomiyil Anavadhiyaayi Pettu Perukuvin.

7. As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it."

8. ദൈവം പിന്നെയും നോഹയോടും അവൻറെ പുത്രന്മാരോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു:

8. Dhaivam Pinneyum Nohayodum Avanre Puthranmaarodum Arulicheythathu:

8. Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:

9. ഞാൻ, ഇതാ, നിങ്ങളോടും നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതിയോടും

9. Njaan, Ithaa, Ningalodum Ningalude Santhathiyodum

9. "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you

10. ഭൂമിയിൽ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉള്ള പക്ഷികളും കന്നുകാലികളും കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളുമായ സകല ജീവജന്തുക്കളോടും പെട്ടകത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ട സകലവുമായി ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലമൃഗങ്ങളോടും ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

10. Bhoomiyil Ningalodukoode Ulla Pakshikalum Kannukaalikalum Kaattumrugangalumaaya Sakala Jeevajanthukkalodum Pettakaththilninnu Purappetta Sakalavumaayi Bhoomiyile Sakalamrugangalodum Oru Niyamam Cheyyunnu.

10. and with every living creature that was with you-the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you-every living creature on earth.

11. ഇനി സകലജഡവും ജലപ്രളയത്താൽ നശിക്കയില്ല; ഭൂമിയെ നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻഇനി ജലപ്രളയം ഉണ്ടാകയുമില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻനിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു നിയമം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

11. Ini Sakalajadavum Jalapralayaththaal Nashikkayilla; Bhoomiye Nashippippaanini Jalapralayam Undaakayumilla Ennu Njaanningalodu Oru Niyamam Cheyyunnu.

11. I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth."

12. പിന്നെയും ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: ഞാനും നിങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഉള്ള സകലജീവജന്തുക്കളും തമ്മിൽ തലമുറതലമുറയോളം സദാകാലത്തേകൂം ചെയ്യുന്ന നിയമത്തിൻറെ അടയാളം ആവിതു:

12. Pinneyum Dhaivam Arulicheythathu: Njaanum Ningalum Ningalodu Koode Ulla Sakalajeevajanthukkalum Thammil Thalamurathalamurayolam Sadhaakaalaththekoom Cheyyunna Niyamaththinre Adayaalam Aavithu:

12. And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:

13. ഞാൻഎൻറെ വില്ലു മേഘത്തിൽ വെക്കുന്നു; അതു ഞാനും ഭൂമിയും തമ്മിലുള്ള നിയമത്തിന്നു അടയാളമായിരിക്കും.

13. Njaanenre Villu Meghaththil Vekkunnu; Athu Njaanum Bhoomiyum Thammilulla Niyamaththinnu Adayaalamaayirikkum.

13. I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

14. ഞാൻഭൂമിയുടെ മീതെ മേഘം വരുത്തുമ്പോൾ മേഘത്തിൽ വില്ലു കാണും.

14. Njaanbhoomiyude Meethe Megham Varuththumpol Meghaththil Villu Kaanum.

14. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,

15. അപ്പോൾ ഞാനും നിങ്ങളും സർവ്വജഡവുമായ സകലജീവജന്തുക്കളും തമ്മിലുള്ള എൻറെ നിയമം ഞാൻ ഓർക്കും; ഇനി സകല ജഡത്തെയും നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻവെള്ളം ഒരു പ്രളയമായി തീരുകയുമില്ല.

15. Appol Njaanum Ningalum Sarvvajadavumaaya Sakalajeevajanthukkalum Thammilulla Enre Niyamam Njaan Orkkum; Ini Sakala Jadaththeyum Nashippippaanvellam Oru Pralayamaayi Theerukayumilla.

15. I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.

16. വില്ലു മേഘത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാകും; ദൈവവും ഭൂമിയിലെ സർവ്വ ജഡവുമായ സകല ജീവികളും തമ്മിൽ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള നിയമം ഓർക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻഅതിനെ നോക്കും.

16. Villu Meghaththil Undaakum; Dhaivavum Bhoomiyile Sarvva Jadavumaaya Sakala Jeevikalum Thammil Ennekkumulla Niyamam Orkkendathinnu Njaanathine Nokkum.

16. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

17. ഞാൻഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സർവ്വ ജഡത്തോടും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമത്തിന്നു ഇതു അടയാളം എന്നും ദൈവം നോഹയോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

17. Njaanbhoomiyilulla Sarvva Jadaththodum Cheythirikkunna Niyamaththinnu Ithu Adayaalam Ennum Dhaivam Nohayodu Arulicheythu.

17. So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth."

18. പെട്ടകത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടവരായ നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ ശേമും ഹാമും യാഫെത്തും ആയിരുന്നു; ഹാം എന്നവനോ കനാൻറെ പിതാവു.

18. Pettakaththilninnu Purappettavaraaya Nohayude Puthranmaar Shemum Haamum Yaapheththum Aayirunnu; Haam Ennavano Kanaanre Pithaavu.

18. The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.)

19. ഇവർ മൂവരും നോഹയുടെ പുത്രന്മാർ; അവരെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂമി ഒക്കെയും നിറഞ്ഞു.

19. Ivar Moovarum Nohayude Puthranmaar; Avarekkondu Bhoomi Okkeyum Niranju.

19. These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the earth.

20. നോഹ കൃഷിചെയ്‍വാൻതുടങ്ങി; ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടം നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി.

20. Noha Krushichey‍vaanthudangi; Oru Munthiriththottam Nattundaakki.

20. Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded to plant a vineyard.

21. അവൻഅതിലെ വീഞ്ഞുകുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചു തൻറെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ വസ്ത്രം നീങ്ങി കിടന്നു.

21. Avanathile Veenjukudichu Laharipidichu Thanre Koodaaraththil Vasthram Neengi Kidannu.

21. When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent.

22. കനാൻറെ പിതാവായ ഹാം പിതാവിൻറെ നഗ്നത കണ്ടു വെളിയിൽ ചെന്നു തൻറെ രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാരെയും അറിയിച്ചു.

22. Kanaanre Pithaavaaya Haam Pithaavinre Nagnatha Kandu Veliyil Chennu Thanre Randu Sahodharanmaareyum Ariyichu.

22. Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's nakedness and told his two brothers outside.

23. ശേമും യാഫെത്തും ഒരു വസ്ത്രം എടുത്തു, ഇരുവരുടെയും തോളിൽ ഇട്ടു വിമുഖരായി ചെന്നു പിതാവിൻറെ നഗ്നത മറെച്ചു; അവരുടെ മുഖം തിരിഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ പിതാവിൻറെ നഗ്നത കണ്ടില്ല.

23. Shemum Yaapheththum Oru Vasthram Eduththu, Iruvarudeyum Tholil Ittu Vimukharaayi Chennu Pithaavinre Nagnatha Marechu; Avarude Mukham Thirinjirunnathukondu Avar Pithaavinre Nagnatha Kandilla.

23. But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father's nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father's nakedness.

24. നോഹ ലഹരിവിട്ടുണർന്നപ്പോൾ തൻറെ ഇളയ മകൻചെയ്തതു അറിഞ്ഞു.

24. Noha Laharivittunarnnappol Thanre Ilaya Makancheythathu Arinju.

24. When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him,

25. അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: കനാൻശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ; അവൻതൻറെ സഹോദരന്മാർക്കു അധമദാസനായ്തീരും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. Appol Avan: Kanaanshapikkappettavan; Avanthanre Sahodharanmaarkku Adhamadhaasanaaytheerum Ennu Paranju.

25. he said, "Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers."

26. ശേമിൻറെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ; കനാൻഅവരുടെ ദാസനാകും.

26. Sheminre Dhaivamaaya Yahova Sthuthikkappettavan; Kanaanavarude Dhaasanaakum.

26. He also said, "Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem.

27. ദൈവം യാഫെത്തിനെ വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ; അവൻശേമിൻറെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽ വസിക്കും; കനാൻഅവരുടെ ദാസനാകും എന്നും അവൻപറഞ്ഞു.

27. Dhaivam Yaapheththine Varddhippikkatte; Avansheminre Koodaarangalil Vasikkum; Kanaanavarude Dhaasanaakum Ennum Avanparanju.

27. May God extend the territory of Japheth; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be his slave."

28. ജലപ്രളയത്തിൻറെ ശേഷം നോഹ മുന്നൂറ്റമ്പതു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു.

28. Jalapralayaththinre Shesham Noha Munnoottampathu Samvathsaram Jeevichirunnu.

28. After the flood Noah lived 350 years.

29. നോഹയുടെ ആയുഷ്കാലം ആകെ തൊള്ളായിരത്തമ്പതു സംവത്സരമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവൻമരിച്ചു.

29. Nohayude Aayushkaalam Aake Thollaayiraththampathu Samvathsaramaayirunnu; Pinne Avanmarichu.

29. Altogether, Noah lived 950 years, and then he died.
