1. ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ രാജത്വത്തിൽ സ്ഥിരപ്പെട്ടു; അവന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഇരുന്നു അവനെ അത്യന്തം മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

1. Dhaaveedhinte Makanaaya Shalomon Thante Raajathvaththil Sthirappettu; Avante Dhaivamaaya Yahova Avanodukoode Irunnu Avane Athyantham Mahathvappeduththi.

1. Solomon son of David established himself firmly over his kingdom, for the LORD his God was with him and made him exceedingly great.

2. ശലോമോൻ എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിനോടും സഹസ്രാധിപന്മാരോടും ശതാധിപന്മാരോടും ന്യായാധിപന്മാരോടും എല്ലായിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരായ സകല പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടും

2. Shalomon Ellaayisraayelinodum Sahasraadhipanmaarodum Shathaadhipanmaarodum Nyaayaadhipanmaarodum Ellaayisraayelinteyum Pithrubhavanaththalavanmaaraaya Sakala Prabhukkanmaarodum

2. Then Solomon spoke to all Israel-to the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, to the judges and to all the leaders in Israel, the heads of families-

3. സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടു ശലോമോൻ സർവ്വസഭയുമായി ഗിബെയോനിലെ പൂജാഗിരിക്കു പോയി. യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ മോശെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സമാഗമനക്കുടാരം അവിടെ ആയിരുന്നു.

3. Samsaarichittu Shalomon Sarvvasabhayumaayi Gibeyonile Poojaagirikku Poyi. Yahovayude Dhaasanaaya Moshe Marubhoomiyilvechu Undaakkiya Dhaivaththinte Samaagamanakkudaaram Avide Aayirunnu.

3. and Solomon and the whole assembly went to the high place at Gibeon, for God's Tent of Meeting was there, which Moses the LORD's servant had made in the desert.

4. എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകം ദാവീദ് കിർയ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിൽനിന്നു താൻ അതിന്നായി ഒരുക്കിയിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോന്നു; അവൻ അതിന്നായി യെരൂശലേമിൽ ഒരു കൂടാരം അടിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

4. Ennaal Dhaivaththinte Pettakam Dhaaveedhu Kiryyaththu-yeyaareemilninnu Thaan Athinnaayi Orukkiyirunna Sthalaththekku Konduponnu; Avan Athinnaayi Yerooshalemil Oru Koodaaram Adichittundaayirunnu.

4. Now David had brought up the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.

5. ഹൂരിന്റെ മകനായ ഊരിയുടെ മകൻ ബെസലേൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ താമ്രയാഗപീ� വും അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവിടെ ശലോമോനും സഭയും അവനോടു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു.

5. But the bronze altar that Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made was in Gibeon in front of the tabernacle of the LORD; so Solomon and the assembly inquired of him there.

6. ശലോമോൻ അവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിലെ താമ്രയാഗപീ� ത്തിങ്കലേക്കു ചെന്നു അതിന്മേൽ ആയിരം ഹോമയാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

6. Solomon went up to the bronze altar before the LORD in the Tent of Meeting and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it.

7. അന്നു രാത്രി ദൈവം ശലോമോന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവനോടു: ഞാൻ നിനക്കു എന്തു തരേണം; ചോദിച്ചുകൊൾക എന്നരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

7. Annu Raathri Dhaivam Shalomonnu Prathyakshanaayi Avanodu: Njaan Ninakku Enthu Tharenam; Chodhichukolka Ennarulicheythu.

7. That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, "Ask for whatever you want me to give you."

8. ശലോമോൻ ദൈവത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു നീ മഹാദയകാണിച്ചു അവന്നു പകരം എന്നെ രാജാവാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. Shalomon Dhaivaththodu Paranjathu: Ente Appanaaya Dhaaveedhinodu Nee Mahaadhayakaanichu Avannu Pakaram Enne Raajaavaakkiyirikkunnu.

8. Solomon answered God, "You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place.

9. ആകയാൽ യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടുള്ള നിന്റെ വാഗ്ദാനം നിവൃത്തിയായ്‍വരുമാറാകട്ടെ; ഭൂമിയിലെ പൊടിപോലെ അസംഖ്യമായുള്ള ജനത്തിന്നു നീ എന്നെ രാജാവാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

9. Aakayaal Yahovayaaya Dhaivame Ente Appanaaya Dhaaveedhinodulla Ninte Vaagdhaanam Nivruththiyaay‍varumaaraakatte; Bhoomiyile Podipole Asamkhyamaayulla Janaththinnu Nee Enne Raajaavaakkiyirikkunnuvallo.

9. Now, LORD God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth.

10. ആകയാൽ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു നായകനായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും തരേണമേ; അല്ലാതെ നിന്റെ ഈ വലിയ ജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്‍വാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിയും?

10. Aakayaal Ee Janaththinnu Naayakanaayirikkendathinnu Enikku Jnjaanavum Vivekavum Tharename; Allaathe Ninte Ee Valiya Janaththinnu Nyaayapaalanam Chey‍vaan Aarkkum Kazhiyum?

10. Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?"

11. അതിന്നു ദൈവം ശലോമോനോടു: ഇതു നിന്റെ താല്പര്യമായിരിക്കയാലും ധനം, സമ്പത്തു, മാനം, ശത്രുനിഗ്രഹം എന്നിവയോ ദീർഘായുസ്സോ ചോദിക്കാതെ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ രാജാവാക്കിവെച്ച എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും ചോദിച്ചിരിക്കയാലും

11. Athinnu Dhaivam Shalomonodu: Ithu Ninte Thaalparyamaayirikkayaalum Dhanam, Sampaththu, Maanam, Shathrunigraham Ennivayo Dheerghaayusso Chodhikkaathe Njaan Ninne Raajaavaakkivecha Ente Janaththinnu Nyaayapaalanam Cheyyendathinnu Jnjaanavum Vivekavum Chodhichirikkayaalum

11. God said to Solomon, "Since this is your heart's desire and you have not asked for wealth, riches or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king,

12. ജ്ഞാനവും വിവേകവും നിനക്കു നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അതല്ലാതെ നിനക്കു മുമ്പുള്ള രാജാക്കന്മാരിൽ ആർക്കും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തതും നിന്റെ ശേഷം ആർക്കും ലഭിക്കാത്തതുമായ ധനവും സമ്പത്തും മാനവും ഞാൻ നിനക്കു തരും എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

12. Jnjaanavum Vivekavum Ninakku Nalkiyirikkunnu; Athallaathe Ninakku Mumpulla Raajaakkanmaaril Aarkkum Labhichittillaaththathum Ninte Shesham Aarkkum Labhikkaaththathumaaya Dhanavum Sampaththum Maanavum Njaan Ninakku Tharum Ennu Arulicheythu.

12. therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, riches and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have."

13. പിന്നെ ശലോമോൻ ഗിബെയോനിലെ പൂജാഗിരിയിൽനിന്നു, സമാഗമനക്കുടാരത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു തന്നേ, യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു വന്നു യിസ്രായേലിൽ വാണു.

13. Pinne Shalomon Gibeyonile Poojaagiriyilninnu, Samaagamanakkudaaraththinte Mumpilninnu Thanne, Yerooshalemilekku Vannu Yisraayelil Vaanu.

13. Then Solomon went to Jerusalem from the high place at Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting. And he reigned over Israel.

14. ശലോമോൻ രഥങ്ങളെയും കുതിരച്ചേവകരെയും ശേഖരിച്ചു; അവന്നു ആയിരത്തിനാനൂറു രഥങ്ങളും പന്തീരായിരം കുതിരച്ചേവകരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവരെ അവൻ രഥനഗരങ്ങളിലും യെരൂശലേമിൽ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കലും പാർപ്പിച്ചു.

14. Shalomon Rathangaleyum Kuthirachevakareyum Shekharichu; Avannu Aayiraththinaanooru Rathangalum Pantheeraayiram Kuthirachevakarum Undaayirunnu; Avare Avan Rathanagarangalilum Yerooshalemil Raajaavinte Adukkalum Paarppichu.

14. Solomon accumulated chariots and horses; he had fourteen hundred chariots and twelve thousand horses, which he kept in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem.

15. രാജാവു യെരൂശലേമിൽ പൊന്നും വെള്ളിയും പെരുപ്പംകൊണ്ടു കല്ലുപോലെയും ദേവദാരു താഴ്വീതിയിലെ കാട്ടത്തിമരം പോലെയും ആക്കി.

15. Raajaavu Yerooshalemil Ponnum Velliyum Peruppamkondu Kallupoleyum Dhevadhaaru Thaazhveethiyile Kaattaththimaram Poleyum Aakki.

15. The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as plentiful as sycamore-fig trees in the foothills.

16. ശലോമോന്നു കുതിരകളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നായിരുന്നു; രാജാവിന്റെ കച്ചവടക്കാർ അവയെ കൂട്ടമായി വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടുവരും.

16. Shalomonnu Kuthirakale Konduvannathu Misrayeemilninnaayirunnu; Raajaavinte Kachavadakkaar Avaye Koottamaayi Vilekku Vaangikkonduvarum.

16. Solomon's horses were imported from Egypt and from Kue - the royal merchants purchased them from Kue.

17. അവർ മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്നു രഥമൊന്നിന്നു അറുനൂറും കുതിര ഒന്നിന്നു നൂറ്റമ്പതും വെള്ളിശെക്കൽ വിലകൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങിക്കൊണ്ടുവരും; അങ്ങനെതന്നെ അവർ ഹിത്യരുടെ സകലരാജാക്കന്മാർക്കും അരാംരാജാക്കന്മാർക്കും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു കൊടുക്കും.

17. Avar Misrayeemil Ninnu Rathamonninnu Arunoorum Kuthira Onninnu Noottampathum Vellishekkal Vilakoduththu Vaangikkonduvarum; Anganethanne Avar Hithyarude Sakalaraajaakkanmaarkkum Araamraajaakkanmaarkkum Konduvannu Kodukkum.

17. They imported a chariot from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. They also exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and of the Arameans.
