1. യോഥാം, ആഹാസ്, യെഹിസ്കീയാവു എന്നീ യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തു മോരസ്ത്യനായ മീഖെക്കു ഉണ്ടായതും അവൻ ശമർയ്യയെയും യെരൂശലേമിനെയും കുറിച്ചു ദർശിച്ചതുമായ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

1. Yothaam, Aahaasu, Yehiskeeyaavu Ennee Yehoodhaaraajaakkanmaarude Kaalaththu Morasthyanaaya Meekhekku Undaayathum Avan Shamaryyayeyum Yerooshalemineyum Kurichu Dharshichathumaaya Yahovayude Arulappaadu.

1. The word of the LORD that came to Micah of Moresheth during the reigns of Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah-the vision he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

2. സകലജാതികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, കേൾപ്പിൻ ; ഭൂമിയും അതിലുള്ള സകലവുമായുള്ളോവേ, ചെവിക്കൊൾവിൻ ; യഹോവയായ കർത്താവു, തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽനിന്നു കർത്താവു തന്നേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായി സാക്ഷിയായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

2. Sakalajaathikalumaayullore, Kelppin ; Bhoomiyum Athilulla Sakalavumaayullove, Chevikkolvin ; Yahovayaaya Karththaavu, Thante Vishuddhamandhiraththilninnu Karththaavu Thanne, Ningalkku Virodhamaayi Saakshiyaayirikkatte.

2. Hear, O peoples, all of you, listen, O earth and all who are in it, that the Sovereign LORD may witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

3. യഹോവ തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഇറങ്ങി ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉന്നതികളിന്മേൽ നടകൊള്ളുന്നു.

3. Yahova Thante Sthalaththu Ninnu Purappettu Irangi Bhoomiyude Unnathikalinmel Nadakollunnu.

3. Look! The LORD is coming from his dwelling place; he comes down and treads the high places of the earth.

4. തീയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ മെഴുകുപോലെയും കിഴുക്കാന്തൂക്കത്തിൽ ചാടുന്ന വെള്ളംപോലെയും പർവ്വതങ്ങൾ അവന്റെ കീഴിൽ ഉരുകുകയും താഴ്വരകൾ പിളർന്നുപോകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. Theeyude Mumpil Mezhukupoleyum Kizhukkaanthookkaththil Chaadunna Vellampoleyum Parvvathangal Avante Keezhil Urukukayum Thaazhvarakal Pilarnnupokayum Cheyyunnu.

4. The mountains melt beneath him and the valleys split apart, like wax before the fire, like water rushing down a slope.

5. ഇതൊക്കെയും യാക്കോബിന്റെ അതിക്രമം നിമിത്തവും യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തവുമാകുന്നു. യാക്കോബിന്റെ അതിക്രമം എന്തു? ശമർയ്യയല്ലയോ? യെഹൂദയുടെ പൂജാഗിരികൾ ഏവ?

5. Ithokkeyum Yaakkobinte Athikramam Nimiththavum Yisraayelgruhaththinte Paapangal Nimiththavumaakunnu. Yaakkobinte Athikramam Enthu? Shamaryyayallayo? Yehoodhayude Poojaagirikal Eva?

5. All this is because of Jacob's transgression, because of the sins of the house of Israel. What is Jacob's transgression? Is it not Samaria? What is Judah's high place? Is it not Jerusalem?

6. യെരൂശലേം അല്ലയോ? അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ശമർയ്യയെ വയലിലെ കലക്കുന്നുപോലെയും, മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിലെ നടുതലപോലെയും ആക്കും; ഞാൻ അതിന്റെ കല്ലു താഴ്വരയിലേക്കു തള്ളിയിടുകയും അതിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ അനാവൃതമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

6. Yerooshalem Allayo? Athukondu Njaan Shamaryyaye Vayalile Kalakkunnupoleyum, Munthiriththottaththile Naduthalapoleyum Aakkum; Njaan Athinte Kallu Thaazhvarayilekku Thalliyidukayum Athinte Adisthaanangale Anaavruthamaakkukayum Cheyyum.

6. "Therefore I will make Samaria a heap of rubble, a place for planting vineyards. I will pour her stones into the valley and lay bare her foundations.

7. അതിലെ സകല വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളും തകർന്നു പോകും; അതിന്റെ സകല വേശ്യാസമ്മാനങ്ങളും തീ പിടിച്ചു വെന്തുപോകും; അതിലെ സകല ബിംബങ്ങളെയും ഞാൻ ശൂന്യമാക്കും; വേശ്യാസമ്മാനംകൊണ്ടല്ലോ അവൾ അതു സ്വരൂപിച്ചതു; അവ വീണ്ടും വേശ്യാ സമ്മാനമായിത്തീരും.

7. Athile Sakala Vigrahangalum Thakarnnu Pokum; Athinte Sakala Veshyaasammaanangalum Thee Pidichu Venthupokum; Athile Sakala Bimbangaleyum Njaan Shoonyamaakkum; Veshyaasammaanamkondallo Aval Athu Svaroopichathu; Ava Veendum Veshyaa Sammaanamaayiththeerum.

7. All her idols will be broken to pieces; all her temple gifts will be burned with fire; I will destroy all her images. Since she gathered her gifts from the wages of prostitutes, as the wages of prostitutes they will again be used."

8. അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ വിലപിച്ചു മുറയിടും; ഞാൻ ചെരിപ്പില്ലാത്തവനും നഗ്നനുമായി നടക്കും; ഞാൻ കുറുനരികളെപ്പോലെ വിലപിച്ചു, ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷികളെപ്പോലെ കരയും.

8. Athukondu Njaan Vilapichu Murayidum; Njaan Cherippillaaththavanum Nagnanumaayi Nadakkum; Njaan Kurunarikaleppole Vilapichu, Ottakappakshikaleppole Karayum.

8. Because of this I will weep and wail; I will go about barefoot and naked. I will howl like a jackal and moan like an owl.

9. അവളുടെ മുറിവു പൊറുക്കാത്തതല്ലോ; അതു യെഹൂദയോളം പരന്നു, എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഗോപുരമായ യെരൂശലേമിനോളം എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

9. Avalude Murivu Porukkaaththathallo; Athu Yehoodhayolam Parannu, Ente Janaththinte Gopuramaaya Yerooshaleminolam Eththiyirikkunnu.

9. For her wound is incurable; it has come to Judah. It has reached the very gate of my people, even to Jerusalem itself.

10. അതു ഗത്തിൽ പ്രസ്താവിക്കരുതു; ഒട്ടും കരയരുതു; ബേത്ത്-അഫ്രയിൽ (പൊടിവീടു) ഞാൻ പൊടിയിൽ ഉരുണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

10. Athu Gaththil Prasthaavikkaruthu; Ottum Karayaruthu; Beththu-aphrayil (podiveedu) Njaan Podiyil Urundirikkunnu.

10. Tell it not in Gath; weep not at all. In Beth Ophrah roll in the dust.

11. ശാഫീർ (അലങ്കാര) നഗരനിവാസികളേ, ലജ്ജയും നഗ്നതയും പൂണ്ടു കടന്നുപോകുവിൻ ; സയനാൻ (പുറപ്പാടു) നിവാസികൾ പുറപ്പെടുവാൻ തുനിയുന്നില്ല; ബേത്ത്--ഏസെലിന്റെ വിലാപം നിങ്ങൾക്കു അവിടെ താമസിപ്പാൻ മുടക്കമാകും.

11. Shaapheer (alankaara) Nagaranivaasikale, Lajjayum Nagnathayum Poondu Kadannupokuvin ; Sayanaan (purappaadu) Nivaasikal Purappeduvaan Thuniyunnilla; Beththu--eselinte Vilaapam Ningalkku Avide Thaamasippaan Mudakkamaakum.

11. Pass on in nakedness and shame, you who live in Shaphir. Those who live in Zaanan will not come out. Beth Ezel is in mourning; its protection is taken from you.

12. യഹോവയുടെ പക്കൽനിന്നു യെരൂശലേംഗോപുരത്തിങ്കൽ തിന്മ ഇറങ്ങിയിരിക്കയാൽ മാരോത്ത് (കൈപ്പു) നിവാസികൾ നന്മെക്കായി കാത്തു പിടെക്കുന്നു.

12. Yahovayude Pakkalninnu Yerooshalemgopuraththinkal Thinma Irangiyirikkayaal Maaroththu (kaippu) Nivaasikal Nanmekkaayi Kaaththu Pidekkunnu.

12. Those who live in Maroth writhe in pain, waiting for relief, because disaster has come from the LORD, even to the gate of Jerusalem.

13. ലാക്കീശ് (ത്വരിത) നഗരനിവാസികളേ, തുരഗങ്ങളെ രഥത്തിന്നു കെട്ടുവിൻ ; അവർ സീയോൻ പുത്രിക്കു പാപകാരണമായ്തീർന്നു; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ അതിക്രമങ്ങൾ നിന്നിൽ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

13. Laakkeeshu (thvaritha) Nagaranivaasikale, Thuragangale Rathaththinnu Kettuvin ; Avar Seeyon Puthrikku Paapakaaranamaaytheernnu; Yisraayelinte Athikramangal Ninnil Kandirikkunnu.

13. You who live in Lachish, harness the team to the chariot. You were the beginning of sin to the Daughter of Zion, for the transgressions of Israel were found in you.

14. അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ മോരേശെത്ത്-ഗത്തിന്നു ഉപേക്ഷണസമ്മാനം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ബേത്ത്-അക്സീബിലെ (വ്യാജഗൃഹം) വീടുകൾ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാക്കന്മാർക്കും ആശാഭംഗമായി ഭവിക്കും.

14. Athukondu Nee Moresheththu-gaththinnu Upekshanasammaanam Kodukkendivarum; Beththu-akseebile (vyaajagruham) Veedukal Yisraayelraajaakkanmaarkkum Aashaabhamgamaayi Bhavikkum.

14. Therefore you will give parting gifts to Moresheth Gath. The town of Aczib will prove deceptive to the kings of Israel.

15. മാരേശാ (കൈവശം) നിവാസികളേ, കൈവശമാക്കുന്ന ഒരുത്തനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ വരുത്തും; യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ മഹത്തുക്കൾ അദുല്ലാമോളം ചെല്ലേണ്ടിവരും.

15. Maareshaa (kaivasham) Nivaasikale, Kaivashamaakkunna Oruththane Njaan Ningalude Nere Varuththum; Yisraayelinte Mahaththukkal Adhullaamolam Chellendivarum.

15. I will bring a conqueror against you who live in Mareshah. He who is the glory of Israel will come to Adullam.

16. നിന്റെ ഔമനക്കുഞ്ഞുകൾനിമിത്തം നിന്നെത്തന്നെ ക്ഷൌരംചെയ്തു മൊട്ടയാക്കുക; കഴുകനെപ്പോലെ നിന്റെ കഷണ്ടിയെ വിസ്താരമാക്കുക; അവർ നിന്നെ വിട്ടു പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കു പോയല്ലോ.

16. Ninte Aumanakkunjukalnimiththam Ninneththanne Kshauramcheythu Mottayaakkuka; Kazhukaneppole Ninte Kashandiye Visthaaramaakkuka; Avar Ninne Vittu Pravaasaththilekku Poyallo.

16. Shave your heads in mourning for the children in whom you delight; make yourselves as bald as the vulture, for they will go from you into exile.
