1. ദാർയ്യാവേശിന്റെ രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടു എട്ടാം മാസത്തിൽ ഇദ്ദോ പ്രവാചകന്റെ മകനായ ബെരെഖ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ സെഖർയ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

1. Dhaaryyaaveshinte Randaam Aandu Ettaam Maasaththil Iddho Pravaachakante Makanaaya Berekhyaavinte Makanaaya Sekharyyaavinnu Yahovayude Arulappaadundaayathenthennaal:

1. In the eighth month of the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo:

2. യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു അത്യന്തം കോപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

2. Yahova Ningalude Pithaakkanmaarodu Athyantham Kopichirikkunnu.

2. "The LORD was very angry with your forefathers.

3. ആകയാൽ നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിവിൻ എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കും തിരിയും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

3. Aakayaal Nee Avarodu Parayendathu: Sainyangalude Yahova Iprakaaram Arulicheyyunnu: Enkalekku Thirivin Ennu Sainyangalude Yahovayude Arulappaadu; Ennaal Njaan Ningalude Adukkalekkum Thiriyum Ennu Sainyangalude Yahova Arulicheyyunnu.

3. Therefore tell the people: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Return to me,' declares the LORD Almighty, 'and I will return to you,' says the LORD Almighty.

4. നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ആയിത്തീരരുതു; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങളുടെ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളെയും ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികളെയും വിട്ടുതിരിവിൻ എന്നിങ്ങനെ പണ്ടത്തെ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ അവരോടു പ്രസംഗിച്ചിട്ടും അവർ കേൾക്കയോ എനിക്കു ചെവി തരികയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

4. Ningal Ningalude Pithaakkanmaareppole Aayiththeeraruthu; Sainyangalude Yahova Iprakaaram Arulicheyyunnu: Ningalude Dhurmmaarggangaleyum Dhushpravruththikaleyum Vittuthirivin Enningane Pandaththe Pravaachakanmaar Avarodu Prasamgichittum Avar Kelkkayo Enikku Chevi Tharikayo Cheythittilla Ennu Yahovayude Arulappaadu.

4. Do not be like your forefathers, to whom the earlier prophets proclaimed: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Turn from your evil ways and your evil practices.' But they would not listen or pay attention to me, declares the LORD.

5. നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ എവിടെ? പ്രവാചകന്മാർ സദാകാലം ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുമോ?

5. Ningalude Pithaakkanmaar Evide? Pravaachakanmaar Sadhaakaalam Jeevichirikkumo?

5. Where are your forefathers now? And the prophets, do they live forever?

6. എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരായ പ്രവാചകന്മാരോടു കല്പിച്ച വചനങ്ങളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ തുടർന്നുപിടിച്ചില്ലയോ? ഞങ്ങളുടെ വഴികൾക്കും പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കും തക്കവണ്ണം സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്‍വാൻ നിരൂപിച്ചതുപോലെ തന്നേ അവൻ ഞങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവർ മനംതിരിഞ്ഞു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ?

6. Ennaal Njaan Ente Dhaasanmaaraaya Pravaachakanmaarodu Kalpicha Vachanangalum Chattangalum Ningalude Pithaakkanmaare Thudarnnupidichillayo? Njangalude Vazhikalkkum Pravruththikalkkum Thakkavannam Sainyangalude Yahova Njangalodu Chey‍vaan Niroopichathupole Thanne Avan Njangalodu Cheythirikkunnu Ennu Avar Manamthirinju Paranjillayo?

6. But did not my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, overtake your forefathers? "Then they repented and said, 'The LORD Almighty has done to us what our ways and practices deserve, just as he determined to do.'" The Man Among the Myrtle Trees

7. ദാർയ്യാവേശിന്റെ രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ ശെബാത്ത് മാസമായ പതിനൊന്നാം മാസം, ഇരുപത്തു നാലാം തിയ്യതി, ഇദ്ദോവിന്റെ മകനായ ബെരെഖ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ സെഖർയ്യാപ്രവാചകന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ഉണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

7. Dhaaryyaaveshinte Randaam Aandil Shebaaththu Maasamaaya Pathinonnaam Maasam, Irupaththu Naalaam Thiyyathi, Iddhovinte Makanaaya Berekhyaavinte Makanaaya Sekharyyaapravaachakannu Yahovayude Arulappaadu Undaayathenthennaal:

7. On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the month of Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo.

8. ഞാൻ രാത്രിയിൽ ചുവന്ന കുതിരപ്പുറത്തു കയറിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പുരുഷനെ കണ്ടു; അവൻ ചോലയിലെ കൊഴുന്തുകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നു; അവന്റെ പിമ്പിൽ ചുവപ്പും കുരാൽനിറവും വെണ്മയും ഉള്ള കുതിരകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

8. Njaan Raathriyil Chuvanna Kuthirappuraththu Kayariyirikkunna Oru Purushane Kandu; Avan Cholayile Kozhunthukalude Idayil Ninnu; Avante Pimpil Chuvappum Kuraalniravum Venmayum Ulla Kuthirakal Undaayirunnu.

8. During the night I had a vision-and there before me was a man riding a red horse! He was standing among the myrtle trees in a ravine. Behind him were red, brown and white horses.

9. യജമാനനേ, ഇവർ ആരാകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു എന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ദൂതൻ : ഇവർ ആരെന്നു ഞാൻ നിനക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരാം എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

9. Yajamaanane, Ivar Aaraakunnu Ennu Njaan Chodhichathinnu Ennodu Samsaarikkunna Dhoothan : Ivar Aarennu Njaan Ninakku Kaanichutharaam Ennu Ennodu Paranju.

9. I asked, "What are these, my lord?" The angel who was talking with me answered, "I will show you what they are."

10. എന്നാൽ കൊഴുന്തുകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിലക്കുന്ന പുരുഷൻ : ഇവർ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഊടാടി സഞ്ചരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവർ തന്നേ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

10. Ennaal Kozhunthukalude Idayil Nilakkunna Purushan : Ivar Bhoomiyil Oodaadi Sancharikkendathinnu Yahova Ayachirikkunnavar Thanne Ennu Uththaram Paranju.

10. Then the man standing among the myrtle trees explained, "They are the ones the LORD has sent to go throughout the earth."

11. അവർ കൊഴുന്തുകളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിലക്കുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഊടാടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു, സർവ്വഭൂമിയും സ്വസ്ഥമായി വിശ്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

11. Avar Kozhunthukalude Idayil Nilakkunna Yahovayude Dhoothanodu: Njangal Bhoomiyil Oodaadi Sancharichu, Sarvvabhoomiyum Svasthamaayi Vishramichirikkunnathu Kandu Ennu Uththaram Paranju.

11. And they reported to the angel of the LORD, who was standing among the myrtle trees, "We have gone throughout the earth and found the whole world at rest and in peace."

12. എന്നാറെ യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ : സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവേ, ഈ എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം നീ ക്രൂദ്ധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമിനോടും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളോടും നീ എത്രത്തോളം കരുണ കാണിക്കാതിരിക്കും എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

12. Ennaare Yahovayude Dhoothan : Sainyangalude Yahove, Ee Ezhupathu Samvathsaram Nee Krooddhichirikkunna Yerooshaleminodum Yehoodhaapattanangalodum Nee Ethraththolam Karuna Kaanikkaathirikkum Ennu Chodhichu.

12. Then the angel of the LORD said, "LORD Almighty, how long will you withhold mercy from Jerusalem and from the towns of Judah, which you have been angry with these seventy years?"

13. അതിന്നു യഹോവ എന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ദൂതനോടു നല്ല വാക്കും ആശ്വാസകരമായ വാക്കും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

13. Athinnu Yahova Ennodu Samsaarikkunna Dhoothanodu Nalla Vaakkum Aashvaasakaramaaya Vaakkum Arulicheythu.

13. So the LORD spoke kind and comforting words to the angel who talked with me.

14. എന്നോടു സംസാരിക്കുന്ന ദൂതൻ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നീ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ: സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ യെരൂശലേമിന്നും സീയോന്നും വേണ്ടി മഹാ തീക്ഷണതയോടെ എരിയുന്നു.

14. Ennodu Samsaarikkunna Dhoothan Ennodu Paranjathu: Nee Prasamgichu Parayendathenthennaal: Sainyangalude Yahova Iprakaaram Arulicheyyunnu: Njaan Yerooshaleminnum Seeyonnum Vendi Mahaa Theekshanathayode Eriyunnu.

14. Then the angel who was speaking to me said, "Proclaim this word: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion,

15. ഞാൻ അല്പം മാത്രം കോപിച്ചിരിക്കെ അവർ അനർത്ഥത്തിന്നായി സഹായിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കുന്ന ജാതികളോടു ഞാൻ അത്യന്തം കോപിക്കുന്നു.

15. Njaan Alpam Maathram Kopichirikke Avar Anarththaththinnaayi Sahaayichathukondu Svairamaayirikkunna Jaathikalodu Njaan Athyantham Kopikkunnu.

15. but I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they added to the calamity.'

16. അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ കരുണയോടെ യെരൂശലേമിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ആലയം അതിൽ പണിയും; യെരൂശലേമിന്മേൽ അളവുനൂൽ പിടിക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

16. Athukondu Yahova Iprakaaram Arulicheyyunnu: Njaan Karunayode Yerooshaleminkalekku Thirinjirikkunnu; Ente Aalayam Athil Paniyum; Yerooshaleminmel Alavunool Pidikkum Ennu Sainyangalude Yahovayude Arulappaadu.

16. "Therefore, this is what the LORD says: 'I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,' declares the LORD Almighty.

17. നീ ഇനിയും പ്രസംഗിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതു: സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്റെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ഇനിയും അഭിവൃദ്ധിഹേതുവായി വിശാലത പ്രാപിക്കും; യഹോവ ഇനിയും സീയോനെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കയും ഇനിയും യെരൂശലേമിനെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

17. Nee Iniyum Prasamgichu Parayendathu: Sainyangalude Yahova Iprakaaram Arulicheyyunnu: Ente Pattanangal Iniyum Abhivruddhihethuvaayi Vishaalatha Praapikkum; Yahova Iniyum Seeyone Aashvasippikkayum Iniyum Yerooshalemine Thiranjedukkayum Cheyyum.

17. "Proclaim further: This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the LORD will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.'"

18. Then I looked up-and there before me were four horns!
