1. തെയോഫിലൊസേ, ഞാൻ എഴുതിയ ഒന്നാമത്തെ ചരിത്രം യേശു തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാർക്കും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ കല്പന കൊടുത്തിട്ടു ആരോഹണം ചെയ്തനാൾവരെ അവൻ ചെയ്തും ഉപദേശിച്ചും തുടങ്ങിയ സകലത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

8. Ennaal Parishuddhaathmaavu Ningalude Mel Varumpol Ningal Shakthi Labhichittu Yerooshalemilum Yehoodhyayil Ellaadaththum Shamaryayilum Bhoomiyude Attaththolavum Ente Saakshikal Aakum Ennu Paranju.

8. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

9. ഇതു പറഞ്ഞശേഷം അവർ കാൺകെ അവൻ ആരോഹണം ചെയ്തു; ഒരു മേഘം അവനെ മൂടീട്ടു അവൻ അവരുടെ കാഴ്ചെക്കു മറഞ്ഞു.

12. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day's walk from the city.

13. Avide Eththiyappol Avar Paarththa Maalikamuriyil Kayarippoyi, Pathrosu, Yohannaan , Yaakkobu, Anthreyaasu, Philipposu, Thomasu, Barththolomaayi, Maththaayi, Alphaayude Makanaaya Yakkobu, Erivukaranaaya Shimon , Yaakkobinte Makanaaya Yoodhaa Ivar Ellaavarum

13. When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James.

15. ആ കാലത്തു ഏകദേശം നൂറ്റിരുപതു പേരുള്ള ഒരു സംഘം കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ പത്രൊസ് സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ നടുവിൽ എഴുന്നേറ്റുനിന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു:

16. സഹോദരന്മാരായ പുരുഷന്മാരേ, യേശുവിനെ പിടിച്ചവർക്കും വഴികാട്ടിയായിത്തീർന്ന യൂദയെക്കുറിച്ചു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവു ദാവീദ് മുഖാന്തരം മുൻ പറഞ്ഞ തിരുവെഴുത്തിന്ൻ നിവൃത്തിവരുവാൻ ആവശ്യമായിരുന്നു.

16. Sahodharanmaaraaya Purushanmaare, Yeshuvine Pidichavarkkum Vazhikaattiyaayiththeernna Yoodhayekkurichu Parishuddhaathmaavu Dhaaveedhu Mukhaantharam Mun Paranja Thiruvezhuththinn Nivruththivaruvaan Aavashyamaayirunnu.

16. and said, "Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through the mouth of David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus--

17. Avan Njangalude Ennaththil Ulppettavanaayi Ee Shushrooshayil Pankulabhichirunnuvallo.

17. he was one of our number and shared in this ministry."

18. അവൻ അനീതിയുടെ കൂലികൊണ്ടു ഒരു നിലം മേടിച്ചു തലകീഴായി വീണു നടുവെ പിളർന്നു അവന്റെ കുടലെല്ലാം തുറിച്ചുപോയി.

18. Avan Aneethiyude Koolikondu Oru Nilam Medichu Thalakeezhaayi Veenu Naduve Pilarnnu Avante Kudalellaam Thurichupoyi.

19. Athu Yerooshalemil Paarkkumnna Ellaavarum Arinjathaakakondu Aa Nilaththinnu Avarude Bhaashayil Rakthanilam Ennarththamulla Akkaldhaamaa Ennu Per Aayi.

19. Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)

20. Sankeerththanapusthakaththil: “avante Vaasasthalam Shunyamaayippokatte; Athil Aarum Paarkkaathirikkatte” Ennum “avante Addhyakshasthaanam Maattoruththannu Labhikkatte” Ennum Ezhuthiyirikkunnu.

21. Therefore it is necessary to choose one of the men who have been with us the whole time the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

22. കാലത്തെല്ലൊം ഞങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ നടന്ന പുരുഷന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ ഞങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ അവന്റെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിനു സാക്ഷിയായിത്തീരേണം.

22. Kaalaththellom Njangalodu Koode Nadanna Purushanmaaril Oruththan Njangalodu Koode Avante Punaruththaanaththinu Saakshiyaayiththeerenam.

24. സകല ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും അറിയുന്ന കർത്താവേ, തന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു യൂദാ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോയ ഈ ശുശ്രൂഷയുടെയും അപ്പൊസ്തലത്വത്തിന്റെയും സ്ഥാനം ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

24. Sakala Hrudhayangaleyum Ariyunna Karththaave, Thante Sthalaththekku Pokendathinnu Yoodhaa Ozhinjupoya Ee Shushrooshayudeyum Apposthalathvaththinteyum Sthaanam Labhikkendathinnu

24. Then they prayed, "Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen

25. ഈ ഇരുവരിൽ ഏവനെ നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കാണിച്ചുതരേണമേ എന്നു പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു അവരുടെ പേർക്കും ചീട്ടിട്ടു:

25. Ee Iruvaril Evane Nee Thiranjeduththirikkunnu Ennu Kaanichutharename Ennu Praarththichu Avarude Perkkum Cheettittu:

25. to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs."

26. ചീട്ടു മത്ഥിയാസിന്നു വീഴുകയും അവനെ പതിനൊന്നു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ എണ്ണുകയും ചെയ്തു.

26. Cheettu Maththiyaasinnu Veezhukayum Avane Pathinonnu Apposthalanmaarude Koottaththil Ennukayum Cheythu.

26. Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.
