2. To Timothy my true son in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

3. അന്യഥാ ഉപദേശിക്കരുതെന്നും വിശ്വാസം എന്ന ദൈവവ്യവസ്ഥെക്കല്ല തർക്കങ്ങൾക്കു മാത്രം ഉതകുന്ന കെട്ടുകഥകളെയും അന്തമില്ലാത്ത വംശാവലികളെയും ശ്രദ്ധികരുതെന്നും ചിലരോടു ആജ്ഞാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു

3. Anyathaa Upadheshikkaruthennum Vishvaasam Enna Dhaivavyavasthekkalla Tharkkangalkku Maathram Uthakunna Kettukathakaleyum Anthamillaaththa Vamshaavalikaleyum Shraddhikaruthennum Chilarodu Aajnjaapikkendathinnu

3. As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer

4. നീ എഫെസൊസിൽ താമസിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ മക്കെദൊന്യെക്കു പോകുമ്പോൾ അപേക്ഷിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇപ്പോഴും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

4. Nee Ephesosil Thaamasikkenam Ennu Njaan Makkedhonyekku Pokumpol Apekshichathupole Ippozhum Cheyyunnu.

4. nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God's work--which is by faith.

5. ആജ്ഞയുടെ ഉദ്ദേശമോ: ശുദ്ധഹൃദയം, നല്ല മനസ്സാക്ഷി, നിർവ്യാജവിശ്വാസം എന്നിവയാൽ ഉളവാകുന്ന സ്നേഹം തന്നേ.

5. Aajnjayude Uddheshamo: Shuddhahrudhayam, Nalla Manassaakshi, Nirvyaajavishvaasam Ennivayaal Ulavaakunna Sneham Thanne.

5. The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

6. ചിലർ ഇവ വിട്ടുമാറി വൃഥാവാദത്തിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു

6. Chilar Iva Vittumaari Vruthaavaadhaththilekku Thirinju

6. Some have wandered away from these and turned to meaningless talk.

7. ധർമ്മോപദേഷ്ടക്കന്മാരായിരിപ്പാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുന്നു; തങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നും സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നതു ഇന്നതു എന്നും ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നില്ലതാനും.

7. Dharmmopadheshdakkanmaaraayirippaan Ichchikkunnu; Thangal Parayunnathu Innathu Ennum Sthaapikkunnathu Innathu Ennum Grahikkunnillathaanum.

7. They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

8. ന്യായപ്രമാണമോ നീതിമാന്നല്ല, അധർമ്മികൾ, അഭക്തർ, അനുസരണംകെട്ടവർ, പാപികൾ, അശുദ്ധർ, ബാഹ്യന്മാർ, പിതൃഹന്താക്കൾ, മാതൃഹന്താക്കൾ, കുലപാതകർ,

8. Nyaayapramaanamo Neethimaannalla, Adharmmikal, Abhakthar, Anusaranamkettavar, Paapikal, Ashuddhar, Baahyanmaar, Pithruhanthaakkal, Maathruhanthaakkal, Kulapaathakar,

8. We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.

9. ദുർന്നടപ്പുക്കാർ, പുരുഷമൈഥുനക്കാർ, നരമോഷ്ടാക്കൾ, ഭോഷകുപറയുന്നവർ, കള്ളസത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നവർ എന്നീ വകക്കാർക്കും പത്ഥ്യോപദേശത്തിന്നു

9. Dhurnnadappukkaar, Purushamaithunakkaar, Naramoshdaakkal, Bhoshakuparayunnavar, Kallasathyam Cheyyunnavar Ennee Vakakkaarkkum Paththyopadheshaththinnu

9. We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,

10. വിപരീതമായ മറ്റു ഏതിന്നും അത്രേ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു അതിനെ ന്യായോചിതമായി ഉപയോഗിച്ചാൽ ന്യായപ്രമാണം നല്ലതു തന്നേ എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നു.

10. Vipareethamaaya Mattu Ethinnum Athre Vechirikkunnathu Ennu Grahichukondu Athine Nyaayochithamaayi Upayogichaal Nyaayapramaanam Nallathu Thanne Ennu Naam Ariyunnu.

10. for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine

11. ഈ പരിജ്ഞാനം, എങ്കൽ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായി ധന്യനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള സുവിശേഷത്തിന്നു അനുസാരമായതു തന്നേ.

11. Ee Parijnjaanam, Enkal Bharamelpichirikkunnathaayi Dhanyanaaya Dhaivaththinte Mahathvamulla Suvisheshaththinnu Anusaaramaayathu Thanne.

11. that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.

12. എനിക്കു ശക്തി നല്കിയ ക്രിസ്തുയേശു എന്ന നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവു എന്നെ വിശ്വസ്തൻ എന്നു എണ്ണി ശുശ്രൂഷെക്കു ആക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവനെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു.

12. Enikku Shakthi Nalkiya Kristhuyeshu Enna Nammude Karththaavu Enne Vishvasthan Ennu Enni Shushrooshekku Aakkiyathukondu Njaan Avane Sthuthikkunnu.

12. I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service.

13. മുമ്പെ ഞാൻ ദൂഷകനും ഉപദ്രവിയും നിഷ്� ൂരനും ആയിരുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവിശ്വാസത്തിൽ അറിയാതെ ചെയ്തതാകകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു കരുണ ലഭിച്ചു.

13. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.

14. നമ്മുടെ കർത്താവിന്റെ കൃപ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസത്തോടും സ്നേഹത്തോടുംകൂടെ അത്യന്തം വർദ്ധിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. Nammude Karththaavinte Krupa Kristhuyeshuvilulla Vishvaasaththodum Snehaththodumkoode Athyantham Varddhichumirikkunnu.

14. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

15. ക്രിസ്തുയേശു പാപികളെ രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ ലോകത്തിൽ വന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു വിശ്വാസ്യവും എല്ലാവരും അംഗീകരിപ്പാൻ യോഗ്യവുമായ വചനം തന്നേ; ആ പാപികളിൽ ഞാൻ ഒന്നാമൻ .

15. Kristhuyeshu Paapikale Rakshippaan Lokaththil Vannu Ennullathu Vishvaasyavum Ellaavarum Amgeekarippaan Yogyavumaaya Vachanam Thanne; Aa Paapikalil Njaan Onnaaman .

15. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.

16. എന്നിട്ടും യേശുക്രിസ്തു നിത്യ ജീവന്നായിക്കൊണ്ടു തന്നിൽ വിശ്വസിപ്പാനുള്ളവർക്കും ദൃഷ്ടാന്തത്തിന്നായി സകല ദീർഘക്ഷമയും ഒന്നാമനായ എന്നിൽ കാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു കരുണ ലഭിച്ചു.

16. Ennittum Yeshukristhu Nithya Jeevannaayikkondu Thannil Vishvasippaanullavarkkum Dhrushdaanthaththinnaayi Sakala Dheerghakshamayum Onnaamanaaya Ennil Kaanikkendathinnu Enikku Karuna Labhichu.

16. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.

17. നിത്യരാജാവായി അക്ഷയനും അദൃശ്യനുമായ ഏകദൈവത്തിന്നു എന്നെന്നേക്കും ബഹുമാനവും മഹത്വവും. ആമേൻ .

17. Nithyaraajaavaayi Akshayanum Adhrushyanumaaya Ekadhaivaththinnu Ennennekkum Bahumaanavum Mahathvavum. Aamen .

17. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

18. മകനേ, തിമൊഥെയൊസേ, നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു മുമ്പുണ്ടായ പ്രവചനങ്ങൾക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം ഞാൻ ഈ ആജ്ഞ നിനക്കു ഏല്പിക്കുന്നു; നീ വിശ്വാസവും നല്ല മനസ്സാക്ഷിയും ഉള്ളവനായി അവയെ അനസരിച്ചു നല്ല യുദ്ധസേവ ചെയ്ക.

18. Makane, Thimotheyose, Ninnekkurichu Mumpundaaya Pravachanangalkku Oththavannam Njaan Ee Aajnja Ninakku Elpikkunnu; Nee Vishvaasavum Nalla Manassaakshiyum Ullavanaayi Avaye Anasarichu Nalla Yuddhaseva Cheyka.

18. Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight,

19. holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith.

20. ഹുമനയൊസും അലെക്സന്തരും ഈ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഉള്ളവർ ആകുന്നു; അവർ ദൂഷണം പറയാതിരിപ്പൻ പ� ിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവരെ സാത്താനെ ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
