3. സഹോദരന്മാർ വന്നു, നീ സത്യത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിന്റെ സത്യത്തിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം പറകയാൽ ഞാൻ അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിച്ചു.

3. Sahodharanmaar Vannu, Nee Sathyaththil Nadakkunnu Ennu Ninte Sathyaththinnu Saakshyam Parakayaal Njaan Athyantham Santhoshichu.

5. Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, even though they are strangers to you.

11. Priyane, Nanmayallaathe Thinma Anukarikkaruthu; Nanma Cheyyunnavan Dhaivaththilninnullavan Aakunnu; Thinma Cheyyunnavan Dhaivaththe Kandittilla.

11. Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.

12. ദെമേത്രിയൊസിന്നു എല്ലാവരാലും സത്യത്താൽ തന്നേയും സാക്ഷ്യം ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു; ഞങ്ങളും സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നു.

12. Dhemethriyosinnu Ellaavaraalum Sathyaththaal Thanneyum Saakshyam Labhichittundu; Njangalum Saakshyam Parayunnu; Njangalude Saakshyam Sathyam Ennu Nee Ariyunnu.
